Game Description:

Lughnasadh is a single-player RPG set in a fantasy world where players can choose to play as either a Male or Female character, and can choose to be a Warrior or a Mage. The game is focused on crafting weapons, creating spells and potions, and exploring various worlds through Magic Portals. Players will complete Quests, Slay enemies and collect resources while developing their skills and abilities.

Player Characters:

• Male or Female: Players can choose to play as a Male or Female character.
• Warrior or Mage: Players can choose to be a Warrior or a Mage.

Combat:

• Weapon crafting: Warriors can craft various weapons such as swords and axes.
• Spellcasting: Mages can create fireballs and other spells.
• Potions: Players can craft or buy potions from merchants that can restore health, boost energy and/or stamina, and increase strength.
• Armor: Players can craft various armor pieces to progress their character's stats.
• Boss battles: Players will have to fight various Boss monsters including Trolls, Dragons, Golems, and many others.

Worlds:

• Magic Portals: Players can visit various worlds through Magic Portals.
• Quests: Players will complete Quests in each world.
• Resources: Players will collect resources in each world.
• Merchants: Players will be able to trade with merchants in each world.

Skills and Abilities:

• Character development: Players will develop their skills and abilities as they progress through the game.
• Potions: Players will learn various potion recipes as they progress through the game.
• Weapon crafting: Players will learn various weapon crafting recipes as they progress through the game.
• Spellcasting: Players will learn various spellcasting abilities as they progress through the game.

Overall, Lughnasadh is a classic fantasy-themed RPG that offers players an immersive experience filled with crafting, combat, exploration, and character development. Players will be able to experience the thrill of battling mythical creatures, creating powerful weapons and spells, and exploring mysterious worlds through the use of Magic Portals. With a variety of skills, abilities, and crafting options to choose from, players will be able to customize their characters to fit their unique playstyle and preferences.

About The Game Name:
Lughnasadh or Lughnasa is a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of the harvest season. Traditionally it was celebrated under the Full Moon.  It will be celebrated on 1 August 2023 and just like the original festival celebrating the harvest, the Players of Lughnasadh get ready for adventures beyond the village by harvesting various crops, collecting resources, doing quests, making weapons and/or magic Potions, and much more.

Min Hardware: Windows PC with at least 8GB of RAM and GPU.

Recommended Ideal Hardware: Windows PC with 16G-32GB Ram and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti using  SSD external drives.  A standard Two-Button mouse with a clickable scroll wheel (in the middle) is also recommended.

Free Disk Space Required:  About 35 GB.

Installation:

1) Download and extract the zip file to a new folder on your PC

2) Run the executable:  Lughnasadh 

NOTE: Install the Itch.io app if you don't already have it and run the game from there.  Updates/Patches will be much smaller and faster to download if you use the desktop App.   Get the app here:  https://itch.io/app

BASIC PLAYER CONTROLS:

Control your character using Mouse and Keyboard.

W,A,S,D to move. (Hold Left-Shift to run), Spacebar to Jump, Mouse to look around.

Mouse Wheel - Zoom Camera in/out

Mouse Wheel Click - Toggle Cursor Mode

E - Interact with NPC and/or Objects when prompted. (Pick a Flower/Mining etc.)

X  - Target NPC  For example: While pointing at a deer, Press X, then right-click to target the animal. Next, use abilities to attack it.   You Use abilities by pressing the appropriate Number for the Ability Slot like 1,2,3.)  You can customize and upgrade your abilities as well.  Use the Spellbook to unlock/drag new abilities to the action bar when you have progressed sufficiently.

Expert Tip: You can drag consumable items like Cooked Meat/Potions to the Ability Toolbar then click to use/consume it.

C - Character Menu (Drag Items from Inventory to appropriate slot to equip)

I - Inventory Menu (Certain items can be sold to merchants or consumed)

Note: Middle mouse click  to switch cursor between Play-Mode and UI mode

Esc - Main Menu and Settings and other keys or to hide UI's

Expert Tip: You can sell inventory items to merchants by right-clicking on the item in your inventory panel while interacting with a Merchant.

How to Equip a weapon or tool:

Open the C=Character UI and  I=Inventory UI then drag the tool/weapon/item from Inventory to Character UI and vice versa to un-equip.
Unlock new abilities and skills by applying points earned for each Category.

Use the Skillbook to customize your abilities by dragging them from Spellbook to an Open Actionbar Slot.  Certain abilities are only available to a certain Level Player.

NOTE: The Action bar is fully customizable but you have to be of the required Level as a player to use certain abilities. See Spellbook for details.  Also, your weapon must be equipped if you are a Warrior (C=Character Panel) and if you are a Mage, you have to have enough Fireballs and/or Ice Cubes  (your 'ammunition') and also have unlocked the Spellbook abilities for the required level. (Drag the ones in Green, from your Spellbook to any Action Bar Slot) and make sure you match the ability with the appropriate weapon.)

The player has to monitor Health, Energy, and Stamina Levels.

Controls can be customized via the Main Menu.

Lughnasadh, is a realm of magic and might, Where warriors and mages do fierce battles ignite. They heal wounds with ancient potions and spells, Defeat foes, and tales of wonder do tell.

Trolls and dragons, bears and wolves, Skeletons and hounds, and even a rock golem. But fear not, for powerful wizards will lend a hand, On a journey through treacherous lands.

Cook meals, craft items, trade with the folk, And use alchemy to brew potions that stoke. Pass through portals to realms unknown, If the key is found and the journey is shown.

Factions shift and change with every deed, Upgrade weapons and armor, and quests to fulfill and succeed. Use bravery, ingenuity, and all of your might, To save the world from darkness and the forces of the night.

So let us celebrate Lughnasadh with joy and cheer, Under the full moon's glow, the harvest's bounty dear.  May your adventures be filled with magic and wonder, As we honor the gods and our ancient traditions.
